Milestone 0 Standards |
Status: Ongoing |
With every project, there needs to be consistent coding standards, etc. Although, this will be an on going process, we must start with a base to work from. Writing out the standards is this milestones purpose. More standards will be written as the need arises. |
Milestone 1 Tools |
Status: Planning |
Since this project is starting from scratch, and will not be using any previously made material, we need to develop all of the basics. Although there will be a give and take between design and development, the below is a general ordering for what must be accomplished to complete this Milestone. The idea is to create the necessary tools, so that at least some content can be created, so that development on the game engine itself could be started. The necessity of file-formats for:
Once the general concepts for the file-formats are complete, there must be a program to write them. Since one of the goals of the project is to be as cross-platform as possible, all of these tools must fulfill the same requirement. |
Milestone 2: Tools and Game Engine |
Status Not Started |
With the above tools completed to a usable degree, the RenderEngine part of the game itself can be started. Of course the designed infrastructure must be put in place for the other parts of the engine as well. Further development and refinement of the tools and the relevant file-formats will continue as well. Mainly to fix any non-smoothness found in Milestone 1. The details of the above will be specified at the end of Milestone 1. |
